Ross Lake
Just before Ross lake is a
Backcountry horse camp site. (bring your bug spray). The corrals are very strong
an elephant could be held for the night. We brought our Holstein stallion on
this trip. He loved the lake but not the bugs. Lots of rustic trails.
WHITWORTH HORSE CAMP (SKAGIT VALLEY)
Campers must be travelling with a horse to stay at this unique campground!
Located approx. 56km south of Silver Creek on the Silver Skagit Rd. Open and
collecting fees from May 17th to October 14th. Take Highway #1 to the Silver
Hope Creek Exit #168 just west of Hope, to access Flood Hope Road. Turn onto
Silver Skagit Road and travel 56km south on good gravel road to reach Whitworth
Horsecamp.
Facilities include picnic table, camping pad, pull thru driveway, fire ring,
hitching rail & corrals at each site. Please remove manure.
